How to approach Kefalonia island
You can fly to Kefalonia directly from other areas of Greece, including Athens, Zakynthos and Preveza. You can also reach the island indirectly from other areas, like Thessaloniki or Crete, after a transit stop at the International Airport of Athens.
Flights are more frequent in summer in order to serve the thousands of holidaymakers who pick the island for their vacations.
Contrary to ferry tickets, airline tickets are not fixed and tend to get more expensive as the high season draws near. Hence, it is advisable to book your tickets a few months prior to your trip.
